Hurricane Sandy devastated the east
coast earlier this week, causing Halloween festivities to be cancelled
everywhere. In NYC, many parts of lower
Manhattan are still without power.
The
annual Village Halloween Parade has been canceled for the first time in its 39
year history. Some people are not giving up on Halloween so quickly, many are
rescheduling their parties and events and others are just fighting through the
unfortunate events and continuing on as planned.
50,000 costumed patrons are expected in
Philadelphia on Wednesday for events ending with a spectacular fireworks
display over Salem Harbor. Hurricane
sandy may have put a damper on the events of the Halloween season, but it has
not damaged the spirit of the holiday.
